Retije Cascade is released in exploitation on 7 september 2004 ă. in the area of the village Cremen in the municipality of the town of Bansko, Pirin mountain.
In comparison with the constructed small hydroelectric power stations, working on the principle of running water in Bulgaria after 1990, Retije Cascade is in the first place by Capacity – 7,43 MW; Displacement – 936 m between the elevations of the catchments (1618 m above the sea level) and the last hydroelectric power station (682 m above the sea level); Pipeline length – 10 375 m.
Retije Cascade includes three small hydroelectric power stations working on the principle of running water. The total capacity of the stations is 7,43 MW. The annual production of pure ecological energy is 23 000000 kWh.
Retije Cascade uses the running water of the River Retige. The springs of the rivers begin from the Lake Popovo and Kremena’s Lakes. They are situated in the southeast slopes of the Northern part of Pirin Mountains. Retije Cascade is located in the area of the village Cremen in the municipality of the town of Bansko. The length of the pipeline is 10 375 m. The total displacement is 936 m (the starting elevation is at 1618 m and the ending elevation is at 682 m above the sea level).
The beginning of the construction in May 2003. Bring in exploitation in July 2004.
Investor of the project is "Avers" Ltd
“Avers” Ltd Company is a private corporation, registered in the town of Blagoevgrad, the Republic of Bulgaria. It was established in 1997. Its subjects of activity are:
- Development of projects for power production, including hydroelectric power stations;
- Producing and selling of electric power.
Performance characteristic
In comparison with the constructed small hydroelectric power stations, working on the principle of running water in Bulgaria after 1990, Retije Cascade is in the first place by:
- Capacity – 7,43 MW;
- Displacement – 936 m between the elevations of the catchments (1618 m above the sea level) and the last hydroelectric power station (682 m above the sea level);
- Pipeline length – 10 375 m.
For the first time in Bulgaria:
- Bulgarian producer has developed a design of turbines type “Pelton” and realized by using the tested models of General Electric Hydro;
- The driving wheels of the turbines has been entirely manufactured of solid disc, by using the most modern technology, combining the advantages of 3D modeling and precise processing of the programmed numerically controlled machines;
- Has been realized entire automated end remolded control of the cascade, using SCADA control system. The control system is consisted of TSX – 24 telemetric stations, which are the last generation of the high-speed radio-system for data transmission, produced by the English Company “SERCK CONTROLS”. |
